Thank you for visiting my site. On
this site, there are images of not only deep sky objects, you will also see a
variety of aurora, black and white images, creatures you might meet while doing
this type of photography, there is also remarkable twilight, just done with a
tripod, and also some spectacular
images of nature on our planet.
Astro-imaging is different for everyone, for me its a great adventure; sitting
by your scope in the dark on a little chair for most of the night almost always
results in a forest creature or two to come a visiting. It does not take long to realize
that you are sitting in this big forest with many friends like the
wolves, coyotes, bears, and many more.
Unlike normal photography, setting up your
equipment take you up to 2 or 3 hours.
Astro-imaging - the adventure
I never bring food when I go out shooting,
there will be enough animals without it. Let someone know where you are
going in case your car breaks down. Coffee is nice for a break especially if
you can't stay awake. Dress for the occasion, in summer
cords when very cold, it wont take much to
break them at these cold temperatures. It is very easy to get frostbite on
exposed parts if its hits -35 or below, staying warm is an art, I try
to never get sweaty or too hot, staying cool in a way means you will have a
better chance at keeping a cool but constant temperature at least part of
the night.
A special thanks to my wife Linda, who has and
continues to encourage me and help me to capture those elusive images.

you will have to prepare for the mosquitoes
and bears, in the winter you only have to keep you and your equipment
running. I freeze my mount to the ground in the winter to prevent movement
after polar aligning, and care should be taken when disassembling all
